Swapping Fashion with HUG

What’s even better than stumbling upon a great fashion find?  Finding one that’s free!

I recently had the pleasure of attending a Fashion Swap event hosted by The Hip & Urban Girl’s Guide (HUG) & Rent, frock, Repeat.  Guests brought their old outfits to giveaway and swap for something new! I loved the concept of the event, parting with clothes you’ve grown out of so they can then be adopted by a new loving owner.  Any articles of clothing that were not scooped up were donated to Dress for Success  a not-for-profit organization providing professional attire and career development services for disadvantaged women.  Fueled by Fruli strawberry Beer, I got my swap on & happily walked away with a few new pieces for my wardrobe!

Check out some pics from the event:

Portable change rooms to see if we’ve found “the one”!

Sifting through the racks to hunt for that lucky fashion find.

Rent, frock, Repeat – find the perfect dress, wear it, then return it!  Rent beautiful designer dresses for a fraction of the price!

Mmmmm, strawberry beer!  Coming from a non-beer drinker, this is the most refreshing, light & delicious beer I have ever tasted!  Fruli sponsored the event and provided every guest with a free drink.

Thanks to everyone at HUG for a fun evening of fashion and networking!

The Hip & Urban Girl’s Guide is a lifestyle website for the city girl.  Check out HUG for great stories on travel, food, fashion, events and fun things to do in Toronto.
